LAS VEGAS – August 30, 2012 – Steve Winwood brings his undeniable blend of rock ‘n’ roll to the Pearl Concert Theater inside Palms Casino Resort on November 9, 2012 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $49, plus additional service fees.
For more than four decades, Steve Winwood has remained a primary figure in rock ‘n’ roll. He burst into prominence in 1963 with the Spencer Davis Group releasing hits including “Keep On Running” and “Gimme Some Lovin’” and since that time his celebrated skills as a composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist have developed an impressive catalog of popular music.
In 1967, Winwood left the Spencer Davis Group and co-founded Traffic. Beloved for their eclectic style and superbly crafted songs, Traffic released such landmark albums such as Mr. Fantasy and John Barleycorn Must Die – solidifying their position as one of the most important British groups of the 1960’s and 1970’s.
Winwood left Traffic in 1969 to join what critics would dub the first “supergroup” formed with Cream guitarist Eric Clapton, drummer Ginger Baker, and later, former Family bassist Rick Grech. The international popularity of Blind Faith, the group’s sole album, confirmed their special chemistry with staples such as “Can’t Find My Way Home.”
In 1970, Winwood reformed Traffic and guided a highly successful run founded on such popular albums as Low Heeled Spark Of High Heeled Boys and Shoot Out At The Fantasy Factory. By 1975, Traffic splintered and in 1977, Winwood released a self-titled solo debut signaling a bold new artistic direction.
Beginning with Traffic and extending through such landmark solo albums as the Grammy Award-winning Back In The High Life and Roll With It, Winwood has nurtured a restless creative spirit, mining rich musical traditions such as Delta blues, English Folk, R&B and West African calypso, and merging these diverse influences within his own unmistakable sound.
Winwood’s solo career has yielded a rich catalog of popular songs including “Back In The High Life,” “When You See A Chance,” “Valerie” and “Higher Love.” His most recent solo album, About Time, has continued that success, earning Winwood one of his highest Billboard chart entries.
Winwood has since renewed his creative partnership with Eric Clapton. Their expansive CD and DVD Live At Madison Square Garden was nominated for two Grammy Awards and rewarded their many fans with some of the most exciting performances of their careers. In June 2012, Winwood was inducted into the Walk of Fame in Nashville, TN.

LAS VEGAS – January 2, 2012 – Trey Songz brings the Anticipation 2our with special guest Big Sean to Las Vegas. The R&B star will perform at the Pearl inside Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at 8 p.m.
Passion, Pain & Pleasure (2010) is Trey Songz’ hugely anticipated follow-up to 2009’s RIAA gold-certified smash, Ready. From the bouncy first single, “Bottoms Up (featuring Nicki Minaj)” to the driving, rock-infused “Blind,” the album sees the Virginia-based R&B superstar energized and evolving as he continues to refine his mastery of sultry, soulful songcraft.
Songz enlisted a company of gifted producers to accompany him on his artistic journey, including Bei Maejor, Tha Bizness, Mario Winans, Mark Jackson, Kane Beatz and, his longtime production partner, Songbook Entertainment founder Troy Taylor. As ever, Songz displays effortless vocal dexterity while simultaneously relaying complex emotional depth and power. The throbbing, minimalist “Can’t Be Friends” and the classic R&B romance of “Please Return My Call” reveal reflective and introspective themes of love and human relations, stressing the sensual above the overtly sexual.
Passion, Pain & Pleasure marks Songz’ first new release since making the transition from rapidly rising young artist to bonafide R&B superstar. Ready was a true breakthrough, giving Songz’ his first-ever Billboard 200 Top Ten debut. Fueled by an infinite streak of hit singles, including “I Need A Girl,” “LOL :-) (featuring. Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em),” “Successful (Drake & Trey Songz),” among others, Ready received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album.
An assortment of major awards followed, including the prestigious title of Best Male R&B Artist at the 2010 BET Awards. That triumph capped an extraordinary year that included touring as both headliner and special guest on Jay-Z’s massive BP3 Tour 2010, numerous TV appearances, and star-studded recording sessions like Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones’ new version of “We Are The World,” benefiting Haitian earthquake relief organizations. All of this was documented in Songz’ hugely popular docu-series, My Moment. An unqualified ratings sensation, the 10-part BET documentary provided an exclusive window into Songz’ life and career, chronicling everything up to and including the making of the new album.
Big Sean’s debut album Finally Famous was released in June 2011 featuring collaborations with hip hop stars such as Kanye West, Pharrell and The-Dream, to name a few. Big Sean’s hit single “My Last” with Chris Brown reached #1 on the Billboard Hip Hop charts.

LAS VEGAS – October 31, 2011 – Comedy’s loveable Queen of Mean returns to the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 8 p.m.
Heralded as “more than a standup — a standout,” by comedy legend Jim Carrey, Lisa Lampanelli is a cross between Don Rickles, Archie Bunker and a vial of estrogen. She has won accolades from The King of All Media Howard Stern, who called her “a true original and a brilliant comedy mind who’ll steal the show every time.” Known for saying things that most people are afraid to think, Lampanelli’s raunchy, gut-busting performances are wildly popular at theaters across the U.S. and Canada. She recently appeared in her latest one-hour special “Tough Love,” which premiered on Comedy Central and is now available on CD/DVD. Continuing her rise, Logo television has recently given a green light to developing “Big Loud Lisa” - the unscripted series to be produced by Chelsea Handler’s production company. The show will follow Lampanelli in standup as she juggles her recent marriage with her life on the road. She is also currently working on a one-woman show for Broadway with plans to debut in 2012. Hitting the big screen, Lampanelli will appear in a David Chase-directed feature film (yet to be titled), scheduled for release in October 2012.
Lampanelli’s rise to the top of the comedy food chain began in 2002 when she was the only female comedian invited to skewer Chevy Chase on the NY Friars Club Roast on Comedy Central. She soon became known as the “Queen of the Roast” with roasts of such names as Pamela Anderson, Jeff Foxworthy, William Shatner, Flava Flav and most recently, David Hasselhoff. Because of her success as a roaster, in 2009 Lampanelli was asked to be Roastmaster for the highly rated Comedy Central roast of friend and fellow comic, Larry the Cable Guy. Lampanelli joined the ranks of comedy greats with her 2009 HBO comedy special, “Long Live the Queen,” and that same year, released her first autobiography, Chocolate, Please: My Adventures in Food, Fat and Freaks.

System of a Down surprised us all when announcing an end to their five year hiatus by setting up a short twenty-one show tour, only eight of which are in America.
