Stripped down comedy done like no other…

Anthony Cools presents Strip Comedy - the newest down and dirty show at
The Lounge at Palms Casino Resort

LAS VEGAS – October 25, 2012 – Strip Comedy, described as “uncensored and undressed improv” will begin its run November 7, 2012 at The Lounge inside Palms Casino Resort. Presented by Anthony Cools, Strip Comedy brings the longest running improv show in Las Vegas to the intimate entertainment venue in a hilarious game of creativity and wit.

This wild, down and dirty show follows two teams of improv actors going head-to-head in comedic games where everyone wins and nothing is off limits. The audience gets in on a big piece of the action, participating throughout the night in this fully improvised show created from their suggestions. The high-energy audience also judges the scenes, deciding which team takes each round and the live human scorecards – aka super hot chicks pulled from a binder of women – keep tally on the wins. Similar to strip poker, each win allows the “scorecard” to remove an item of clothing – eventually leaving one lovely lady almost baring all and thus winning the game for her team.

Host and creator Kopy Kopatich began performing improv in Wisconsin while still in high school. Upon moving to Las Vegas 10 years ago, he created an improv cast and they held their first show in the UNLV dorms. Over the years, he has put together multiple shows, casts and events revolving around the art of improv. The main stage cast has performed around Las Vegas, including runs at the Plaza, Alexis Park, UNLV and off-Strip theaters, in addition to traveling across the country to perform.

Strip Comedy runs nightly (dark Mondays and Tuesdays) beginning November 7, 2012 at 8 p.m. inside The Lounge at the Palms. Tickets are on sale now for $39.95 and can be purchased at 702-944-3200, www.ticketmaster.com or at the Palms Box Office. The Box Office is open daily from noon until 7 p.m. with extended hours on select event days. The Lounge is now on Twitter, follow @loungeatpalms for updates. LAS VEGAS – January 2, 2012 – Trey Songz brings the Anticipation 2our with special guest Big Sean to Las Vegas. The R&B star will perform at the Pearl inside Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at 8 p.m.

Passion, Pain & Pleasure (2010) is Trey Songz’ hugely anticipated follow-up to 2009’s RIAA gold-certified smash, Ready. From the bouncy first single, “Bottoms Up (featuring Nicki Minaj)” to the driving, rock-infused “Blind,” the album sees the Virginia-based R&B superstar energized and evolving as he continues to refine his mastery of sultry, soulful songcraft.

Songz enlisted a company of gifted producers to accompany him on his artistic journey, including Bei Maejor, Tha Bizness, Mario Winans, Mark Jackson, Kane Beatz and, his longtime production partner, Songbook Entertainment founder Troy Taylor. As ever, Songz displays effortless vocal dexterity while simultaneously relaying complex emotional depth and power. The throbbing, minimalist “Can’t Be Friends” and the classic R&B romance of “Please Return My Call” reveal reflective and introspective themes of love and human relations, stressing the sensual above the overtly sexual.

Passion, Pain & Pleasure marks Songz’ first new release since making the transition from rapidly rising young artist to bonafide R&B superstar. Ready was a true breakthrough, giving Songz’ his first-ever Billboard 200 Top Ten debut. Fueled by an infinite streak of hit singles, including “I Need A Girl,” “LOL :-) (featuring. Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em),” “Successful (Drake & Trey Songz),” among others, Ready received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album.

An assortment of major awards followed, including the prestigious title of Best Male R&B Artist at the 2010 BET Awards. That triumph capped an extraordinary year that included touring as both headliner and special guest on Jay-Z’s massive BP3 Tour 2010, numerous TV appearances, and star-studded recording sessions like Lionel Richie and Quincy Jones’ new version of “We Are The World,” benefiting Haitian earthquake relief organizations. All of this was documented in Songz’ hugely popular docu-series, My Moment. An unqualified ratings sensation, the 10-part BET documentary provided an exclusive window into Songz’ life and career, chronicling everything up to and including the making of the new album.

Big Sean’s debut album Finally Famous was released in June 2011 featuring collaborations with hip hop stars such as Kanye West, Pharrell and The-Dream, to name a few. Big Sean’s hit single “My Last” with Chris Brown reached #1 on the Billboard Hip Hop charts.

Doors at the Pearl will open at 7 p.m. and show time is 8 p.m. The Pearl Box Office is open daily from noon until 7 p.m. with extended hours on select event days. The Pearl is sponsored by Citi and is now on Twitter. Please follow @PearlatPalms for concert announcements and event information.
