LAS VEGAS – August 30, 2012 – Steve Winwood brings his undeniable blend of rock ‘n’ roll to  the Pearl Concert Theater inside Palms Casino Resort on November 9, 2012 at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $49, plus additional service fees.

For more than four decades, Steve Winwood has remained a primary figure in rock ‘n’ roll. He burst into prominence in 1963 with the Spencer Davis Group releasing hits including “Keep On Running” and “Gimme Some Lovin’” and since that time his celebrated skills as a composer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist have developed an impressive catalog of popular music.  

In 1967, Winwood left the Spencer Davis Group and co-founded Traffic. Beloved for their eclectic style and superbly crafted songs, Traffic released such landmark albums such as Mr. Fantasy and John Barleycorn Must Die – solidifying their position as one of the most important British groups of the 1960’s and 1970’s. 

Winwood left Traffic in 1969 to join what critics would dub the first “supergroup” formed with Cream guitarist Eric Clapton, drummer Ginger Baker, and later, former Family bassist Rick Grech. The international popularity of Blind Faith, the group’s sole album, confirmed their special chemistry with staples such as “Can’t Find My Way Home.”

In 1970, Winwood reformed Traffic and guided a highly successful run founded on such popular albums as Low Heeled Spark Of High Heeled Boys and Shoot Out At The Fantasy Factory.  By 1975, Traffic splintered and in 1977, Winwood released a self-titled solo debut signaling a bold new artistic direction. 

Beginning with Traffic and extending through such landmark solo albums as the Grammy Award-winning Back In The High Life and Roll With It, Winwood has nurtured a restless creative spirit, mining rich musical traditions such as Delta blues, English Folk, R&B and West African calypso, and merging these diverse influences within his own unmistakable sound.  

Winwood’s solo career has yielded a rich catalog of popular songs including “Back In The High Life,” “When You See A Chance,” “Valerie” and “Higher Love.” His most recent solo album, About Time, has continued that success, earning Winwood one of his highest Billboard chart entries.

Winwood has since renewed his creative partnership with Eric Clapton. Their expansive CD and DVD Live At Madison Square Garden was nominated for two Grammy Awards and rewarded their many fans with some of the most exciting performances of their careers. In June 2012, Winwood was inducted into the Walk of Fame in Nashville, TN.

LAS VEGAS – March 12, 2012 – Celebrated impressionist/comedian/singer, Jeff Tracta will perform four dates inside the Pearl at Palms Casino Resort  May 17 - 20 at 7:30 p.m.
 
Tracta wows the audience with a high-energy experience.  A journey through the icons of popular culture from the last 50 years.  Using the latest, cutting-edge multimedia, Tracta transforms into a galaxy of superstars right before their eyes – from Billy Joel to Lady Gaga. Tracta’s talent is undeniable. The Los Angeles Times calls him, “Hilarious A comic genius, Tracta is superb.”

The hit show, which runs 75 minutes, features elaborate, interactive video productions where Tracta completely morphs into the icon he’s impersonating - voice, face, costume and mannerisms - sometimes playing more than one celebrity at a time. The fast-paced skits draw humor from all facets of pop culture: film, television, music, advertising, politics, cartoons and more, keeping audiences of all ages entertained. 

Tracta gained fame as “Thorne Forrester” on the hit daytime drama, The Bold and the Beautiful.  His musical talents have opened the doors to major success internationally as a recording artist and on Broadway.  Tracta is also a writer and has appeared on news and talks shows such as “CNN,” “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno and “Good Morning America.”

Las Vegas – (March 09, 2012) Palms Pool & Bungalows is carrying over the same great party from Ditch Fridays, and rolling it into the weekend with its Palms Pool Saturdays weekly bash. The latest poolside party will kick off Saturday, May 5 and feature an eclectic mix of talent including the sounds of new Palms resident Roger Sanchez. Doors open at noon for the event.

Grammy Award winning producer, remixer and DJ, Roger Sanchez is one of the world’s foremost names in House music. Known as a “DJ’s DJ” and a “Producer’s producer,” Sanchez’s unwavering status as a top-global master of the genre is a testament to his robust belief in the power of music to liberate people, physically and mentally. Born to Dominican parents in Queens, New York, Sanchez spent his younger years soaking up the musical influences that were the lifeblood of his home town. It was the diversity of these influences, from salsa, blues and soul to disco, rock and hip-hop, that solidified Roger’s dedication to representing this spectrum of musical styles and spurred his constant quest to redefine the boundaries of house music.  He hosts a weekly terrestrial and online radio show called “Release Yourself,” with 15 million listeners worldwide. Passion, Pain & Pleasure (2010) is Trey Songz’ hugely anticipated follow-up to 2009’s RIAA gold-certified smash, Ready. About Jimmy Dore
After appearing in several Comedy Central specials, Jimmy Dore is no stranger to stand up and engaging audiences with his current take on pop culture and politics. Dore notably put together a one-hour Comedy Central special appropriately named “Citizen Jimmy” that was chosen Best of 2008 by iTunes and named one of the Top 5 Comedy DVDs of the Year by Punchline Magazine. Most recently, Dore has taken on a double role performing in his Off-Broadway hit “The Marijuana-Logues,” which he also wrote. Dore’s everyman style and razor-sharp material continues to draw audiences in and has made him one of the fastest rising comedians to date.
 
About Michael Yo
Michael Yo, the self-proclaimed “Half-Black Brother with a Korean Mother” was born and raised in Houston TX. Yo made his debut on E! in 2008 as a celebrity correspondent for E! News. He can also often be seen being belittled by Chelsea Handler as a round table panelist on “Chelsea Lately” and can be seen on “Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami.” Yo has been perfecting his stand up comedy routine for a long time now…since April 7, 2011, and has appeared at numerous comedy clubs across the country including ­­­the Improv clubs, the Comedy Store and Stand Up Live. Yo would like to thank the women in his life, namely his mother (fans will find out why soon enough), Chelsea Handler and random hookups across the country for supplying him with endless comedic ammunition.

May 22, 2011 – The Pearl at The Palms – SOLD OUT  

System of a Down surprised us all when announcing an end to their five year hiatus by setting up a short twenty-one show tour, only eight of which are in America.  Although the only way to get tickets now is through scalpers, you may not have a choice as SOAD stated their reunion may not be permanent. 

We have no master plan of sorts — we are playing these shows simply because we want to play together again as a band and for you, our amazing fans.
